Jj Week
This week we learned the letter Jj for juggler, jelly beans and juggle. We reviewed our letters and learned to sign the letter Jj. Much like the letter Ii but we move our pinky down to make a j. Sam brought jungle animals for us to look at, Max brought Bug Juice to share and Addy brought a jaguar and Jasmine. Good ideas! We also did the Pledge of Allegiance and did some jumping jacks for Jj! We did our Thanksgiving songs and talked about Thanksgiving as well. The kids then were excited to make Jack o'Lanterns for Jj this week. Next week will not be a letter, only Thanksgiving. We will resume the following week with Kk. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving Holiday.

Ii Week

This week is Ii week and we learned that igloo, insect and ice cream all start with Ii. We also reviewed our letters and learned to sign the letter Ii with our pinky finger. Sam brought a picture of ice and Addison and Reese brought Indians to share for Ii. We sang "Ten Little Indians" and read the book "The Night Before Thanksgiving." The kids colored their weekly pictures for their folders and we made Indian headresses for the letter Ii. Next week is Jj week so bring things that start with Jj!!!

We learned the letter Hh today for hog and hat. We also reviewed the letters one at a time and learned to sign the letter Hh. Similar to a Gg but with two fingers. The kids brought some very good ideas for Hh - Addy and Karson brought a horse, Sam brought a hula hoop, Reese brought Hocus Pocus and Max brought a halloween bag with a hot dog, hamburger, and a hot pepper. Great ideas!! We did the Pledge of Allegiance and also sang "If You're Happy and You Know It." We started our Thanksgiving theme by reciting a couple poems about turkeys:Five little turkeys flew up in a tree
The first one said "there's a man I see."
The second one said "He's coming this way."
The third one said "I'ts Thanksgiving Day.
The fourth one said "What's he going to do?"
The fifth one said "He's coming after you!"
Chop went the axe before they flew away.
They all were on the table on Thanksgiving day!
Then we made Turkey Hats for Hh that the kids could take home. They also colored their weekly pictures for their folders. Next week we will learn the letter Ii so bring those Ii things!!!
