Zz Week

This week we finished learning the alphabet with Zz.  Cooper, Grace and Patrick all brought their coats with zippers, Kyle brought a zebra puzzle piece and a Z fridge phonic, Parker brought a puzzle piece with a zebra and Dyllon brought "Garfield at The Zoo" to read and also a book that actually has the zebra sound.  All great things!  We sang the Alphabet Song and shared our things we brought.  Alivia was our Student of the Week so she held the flag during the Pledge of Allegiance.  The kids made a zebra out of a Z and colored our weekly pictures.  Next week we will be starting to learn the colors, numbers and shapes.  See you then!  Also be sure to check out the information on Alivia for Student of the Week!

Easter 2014 - Video Maker

Yy Week

This week we learned the letter Yy for yellowjacket and yarn.  The kids did a great job of bringing things that start with Yy.  Patrick brought a yam and a Big Bird Book that the kids enjoyed reading, Grace brought a yellow bus leappad and some yellow yarn we used on our craft, Alivia brought a yellow bus and yogurt bites, Parker brought a blanket made from yarn and Kyle and Dyllon both brought a LeapPad Yy.  We sang our Alphabet Song and did the Pledge of Allegiance.  No new Student of the Week this week because not everyone has turned them in.  We made a Yy with yarn on it from Grace and colored our weekly pictures.  Next week we will be taking the week off for Spring Break and the following week we will learn the letter Zz  See you then!!  Have a wonderful week!

Xx Week

This week we learned the letter Xx for X-ray and Xylophone.  We had three xylophones brought by Grace, Dyllon and Parker.  Patrick brought an x-ray for us to look at.  The kids sang the Alphabet Song and we let Grace hold the flag for the Pledge of Allegiance since she is the "Student of the Week."  We made an x-ray from an X and also colored our weekly pictures.  Grace is our "Student of the Week" so be sure to check out all about her on Brenda's door this week.  Next week we will learn the letter Yy so bring things that start with Yy!  Below is a picture of Grace and her "nana" that she loves to paint pictures for!

Ww Week and Brenda's Birthday

We learned the letter Ww for walrus and watermelon.  We sang The Alphabet Song and shared what we brought for the letter Ww.  Cooper brought Woody, Parker brought Woodstock, Alivia and Alaina brought a watering can and water toys, Dyllon brought a whistle and Grace brought West End doughnuts for Brenda's birthday!  We sang Happy Birthday to Brenda and we had her hold the flag for the Pledge of Allegiance.  Brenda wants to thank everyone who brought her a gift...so much fun.  We appreciate Brenda tremendously!  We made a walrus out of a Ww and colored our weekly picture.  Next week we will be learning the letter Xx so bring anything that starts with Xx.  Also, please bring in the "Student of the Week" forms so we can continue this fun activity with the kids.  See you next week!  And Happy Birthday, Brenda!

Vv Week

This week we learned Vv for vulture and vaccuum.  The kids shared what they brought...Grace brought a Vitruvious cup, Alivia brought Violet, Patrick brought vegetables, Parker brought a volleyball and Dyllon brought a book we read - "Curious George's Valentine Book."  We sang The Alphabet Song and made a V with a carrot on it as a vegetable. The kids colored their pictures for their folders too. The Student of the Week was Dyllon so he got to hold the flag during The Pledge of Allegiance. Check out the information about Dyllon on the door this week. If you have Student of the Week information at home we need them back as soon as possible. Next week we will be learning the letter Ww so bring those things hat start with Ww. We also will be celebrating Brenda's birthday as well!!!  See you then!

Uu Week

This week we learned the letter Uu for unicorn, upside down and umbrella.  We sang The Alphabet Song and shared our items we brought. Grace wore underwear, Dyllon brought a U puzzle piece and we read his book "Inside Outside Upside Down."  Parker brought a Potty book that had a lot of underwear pictures in it. Patrick brought a unicorn and a picture of a unicorn, and Alivia brought a U block with an umbrella on it.  Patrick was our Student of the Week and held the flag for The Pledge of Allegiance. We made umbrellas out of a U and colored our pictures. Check out the fun page about Patrick that is posted. Next week we will learn the letter Vv so bring things that start with Vv!

Tt Week

We learned Tt for tiger and teddy bear. The kids sang the Alphabet Song and we shared things we brought. Patrick brought a tractor and a truck, Cooper wore a tank on his shirt, Parker brought Tigger, Kyle brought a turtle, Grace brought tic tacs to share and Dyllon brought  Turtle Leap Pad and Toy Story toys. All great things!!!  We did the finger play about Tiny Tim Turtle and we did the Pledge of Allegiance. Our Student of the Week is Kyle and he held the flag. He will be going off to Brazil and won't be in daycare for a few weeks. Wishing him and his family a great vacation. He will be missed!  The kids colored their pictures and made a tractor out of a T. Ss Week

This week we learned Ss for sailboat and snake. We sang our Alphabet Song and also "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star."  Patrick brought star stickers for the kids and Santa Claus. Cooper brought his Superman shirt, Grace brought sunglasses, Parker brought Snoopy, Kyle brought shoes and Dyllon brought Scully parrot and had a shirt with a sully on it. We made a snail out of an S and colored our pictures. Next week we will start Student of the Week and we will learn the letter Tt. Bring those Tt things. See you then!

Rr Week and Valentines Day

Today we learned Rr for rocket and raccoon. Kyle brought an R and a picture of a rabbit. Dyllon brought a rocket, Parker brought a robot and a dog named Ruff. Cooper brought a robot also. Great ideas!  We sang our Alphabet Song and also "Ring Around the Rosie" and we did the Pledge of Allegiance. We made a rabbit from an R and colored our weekly pictures. For Valentines Day we finished up our gifts for our parents and read "Clifford's First Valentine."  The kids passed out their Valentines in the cute bags they made and enjoyed doughnuts from Grace and cupcakes from Patrick. Wishing you all a wonderful Valentines Day. Next week we will learn the letter Ss so bring those Ss things!

Qq Week

After a couple weeks off for cold and snow we are back at Circle Time. We learned the letter Qq for queen and quilt. The kids sang The Alphabet Song and also "Five Little Ducks" calling quack quack quack. We shared what the kids brought- Grace brought a duck that says quack, Patrick brought two books we read "Giggle Giggle Quack" and a Sesame Street book of the letter Q. He also brought a wooden Q letter. Kyle brought a picture of a quail and a Leapfrog toy Q. Dyllon brought quarters for everyone's piggy bank- thanks Dyllon!!! And Parker brought a quilt. The kids made a queen from a Q and colored our Qq pictures. Next week we will learn the letter Rr and we will also celebrate Valentines Day. The list of kids are as follows for your Valentines cards:

Pp Week

Back at circle time finally after Christmas break and a snowy week.  We learned the letter Pp for porcupine and pink paint. The kids brought lots of special items starting with Pp. Grace brought a pillow pet, a penguin, a polka dot pink ladybug and she wore a ponytail. Cooper brought an angry bird pig, Parker brought himself,  a P letter and a Pajama book perfect for today. Dyllon brought a pillow and wore pajamas with penguins on them. Kyle brought a pig, Pluto and Pinocchio book that we also read. Alaina and Alivia brought a pretty pink pony and our new friend Patrick brought himself, a penguin and wore pajamas with a polar bear on them. All great ideas!!!  The kids all wore pajamas for our Pajama party. We had pancakes for breakfast and pizza for lunch!!!  The kiddos sang the Alphabet Song and getting much better at it!  Parker and Patrick held the flag for our Pledge of Allegiance. We colored our pictures for our folders and we also made penguins out of the letter Pp. Next week we will learn the letter Qq so bring things that start with Qq.
