This week we learned the letter Cc for clown and cake. We took the time to review our letters as always. The kids are doing great identifying them. Then we did show and tell with things that started with Cc. Logan brought a Craftsman hat, Noelle brought a compact in her cute little purse, Leah brought a cat, Reese brought a cow, Ayla brought a castle, and Cooper brought himself. Sid even brought a crayon and Brenda brought candy to outdo Sid :) saying each child could take a piece of candy home with them tonight. We sang "We Wish You A Merry Christmas" because Reese made it clear that Christmas started with Cc. And of course, we had to turn "Mr. Alligator" into "Mr. Crocodile" this week so they could do the fingerplay. Cooper held the flag today for the Pledge of Allegiance and we made our Cc craft into a chameleon. Next week we will learn the letter Dd so bring those Dd things!!!! See you then!

Bb Week
This week we learned the letter Bb for bear and ball. We looked over all our letters and also talked about blue because it starts with the letter Bb too! The kids had great ideas for things to bring. Almost all of them brought their blankets to share. Reese brought a baby with a "Boo" shirt and she also wore her basketball camp shirt. Leah brought a blanket, Gracie brought a blanket, two bunnies and a cute little book. Ayla brought a beaver, Cooper wore a "Big Brother" shirt, Logan brought a banana in a backpack and Noelle brought a blanket and a baby. Good ideas! We sang our alphabet song and we also sang, "Little Bunny Foo Foo." The kids wouldn't let me end circle time without doing our Mr. Alligator fingerplay. Brenda held our flag as we did our Pledge of Allegiance because her name starts with Bb and we commenced to the kitchen to make our Bb crafts - a cute butterfly. Next week we will learn the letter Cc so bring those things that start with the letter Cc!

Aa Week
We started another year of "circle time" this week with 7 kids!!! This is a big group of kids and the ages vary significantly but, we will try to accomodate each child so they learn at their own pace. We learned the letter Aa today for alligator and apple. Ayla, Logan and Reese all brought apples. Ayla, of course, brought herself too!! She got to hold the flag to say the Pledge of Allegiance today. Noelle brought an airplane and Reese brought two movies to watch - Aristocats and an Arielle movie. All good ideas! We sang the alphabet song and did our favorite fingerplay, "Mr. Alligator." If you don't know how that goes, ask your child!! They all LOVED it! The kids then made apples out of an Aa and did their weekly alphabet letter to be compiled into a booklet for the end of circle time. We also took time to listen to the color songs to get them introduced to them. Next week we will learn the letter Bb - so bring those things that start with Bb!
