What a party today!! We had an extra special visitor...Santa come and he told us that we are ALL on the good list!!! Brenda and I would like to thank everyone for their gifts today...we sincerely hope that your children enjoyed theirs, but more importantly that they enjoy their time here with us at Baby Bear Daycare!! Nn Week
We reviewed our letters as usual today and learned new letter Nn for newspaper. Grace and Cooper both brought stuffed Nemos, Ayla and Reese both brought necklaces, Noelle brought herself AND got to the hold the flag for the Pledge of Allegiance, Dyllon brought a Nursery Rhymes book that the kids enjoyed reading and Leah brought a super cute picture and program from the Nutcracker play that she participated in! All great things!!! We sang "The First Noelle" and we made nets from the letter Nn. The kids also made a super cute snowman to take home. Next week we will not be having a letter, but instead will be having our annual Christmas party!!! We will be welcoming a very special visitor from the North Pole and opening gifts. The kids will be taking pictures with Santa so they may want to look extra cute :) See you then!!!

Mm Week
Moving right along with the letter Mm for milk and mouse. We reviewed all our letters and everyone brought something to share at circle time! Logan and Noelle brought a very cute musical candy cane that sang and danced about Christmas. Reese brought a stuffed monkey, Grace brought a milkshake in the morning, Leah brought her "monkey" and a cute photo of her mommy. Dillon and Cooper both brought Mickey Mouses and Dillon wore Mickey on his shirt today. Ayla also brought a monkey and some money. The kids had fun singing "We Wish You A MERRY Christmas" for Mm, we did our Pledge of Allegiance and made a magnet out of an Mm. The kids also worked on a cute Christmas craft. Next week we will be learning the letter Nn so bring those things that start with Nn!!

Ll Week
Moving right along to letter Ll. We reviewed all our letters and learned the letter Ll for lion and ladder. The kids brought cute things to share. Grace brought a colorful lollipop, Dillon brought a laser light, Reese brought a lollaloopsy doll, Ayla brought a super cute book, "Ladybug's Lessons" while Leah brought herself and a pride of lions and Logan brought himself!!! Logan and Leah held the flag for the Pledge of Allegiance and we made some cute little lollipops to take home. Next week we will be learning the letter Mm so bring those things that start with Mm!!!

Kk Week
This week we reviewed our letters and learned the letter Kk for koala and kite. Reese brought Karen from "Frosty the Snowman," Ayla brought a kangaroo and Dillon brought keys and wore a shirt with a koala bear on it. All cute things!!! We made a cute koala out of a k and colored our pictures for our folder. Kyle got to hold the flag for the Pledge of Allegiance this week because his name begins with Kk. The kids made cute Thanksgiving day hats also for the holiday. We are hoping everyone has a wonderful, safe Thanksgiving Day on Thursday. We are so thankful for such precious children we have at circle time! See you next week for letter Ll.

Jj Week
We worked on reviewing all our letters this week and learned the letter Jj for jester, jar and jelly beans. Only a few kidsbrought things for the letter Jj. Reese brought Jessie from Toy Story, while Ayla brought Jasmine from Aladdin. Grace brought a cute J book also. Good ideas!!! We sang some "Jingle Bells" and did our Pledge of Allegiance to round of circle time. We commenced to the kitchen to make some crafts...our Jj for jellyfish craft and of course, our weekly picture to go in our folders. We also discussed the first Thanksgiving and put together a cute picture of the Pilgrims and Indians. The kids loved doing this. Next week we will be learning the letter Kk so bring things that start with Kk. We also will be learning more about the Thanksgiving Holiday!!

Ii Week
We reviewed our letters as usual and we learned our new letter Ii for igloo, insect and ice cream. Leah brought some cool fake insects for us to see and touch, Logan brought an ink pen, Reese brought a little indian girl, Noelle brought a cute I Book that we read and Ayla brought an ink pen and some ice cream cups for a snack!! We sang "Ten Little Indians" and did our Pledge of Allegiance and then we worked on crafts. An inchworm, our Ii picture and a couple of Thanksgiving projects. Next week we will learn the letter Jj so bring things that start with Jj!!

Hh is for Halloween
We incorporated our letter Hh for hog and hat, this week, with our Halloween party. We had some very cute costumes. We reviewed all our letters, sang the alphabet song and then sang did a fingerplay "5 Little Pumpkins." Reese even brought a horse for show and tell for our letter Hh. Speaking of horses, we made a horse from the lower case h this week also. The kids were busy with the Halloween party for our letter Hh...in fact, we did Pin the Nose on the Pumpkin, made cute little pumpkins with stickers and we did our pinata - a favorite for the kiddos. They should be bringing home quite a load this week!!! We hope everyone has a safe and wonderful Halloween. Next week we will be learning the letter Ii so bring those Ii things!

Gg week
We learned the letter Gg for goat and guitar. We reviewed all our letters and sang the alphabet song. Leah brought an eyepatch to look like a pirate that says "grrrr," Logan brought some good green grapes that we actually ate at lunch, noelle brought a huge gorilla that the kiddos loved, Ayla brought a giraffe and Reese brought a Guess Who game that we had lots of fun playing! The girls team won! Grace got to hold our flag for the Pledge of Allegiance since she starts with Gg. We then made our goose out of a letter g and did our weekly pictures. The kids made a cute craft for our halloween party also. That will be next week on Tuesday! Please bring the kids costume and of course a change of clothes. We will also go ahead and learn the letter Hh for halloween to be incorporated! See you then!

Ff Week
This week we learned Ff for frog and football. We reviewed our letters and shared what we brought. Cooper brought his favorite fish, grace brought fruit, Reese brought a frog, Leah brought a flower with a face and Ayla brought a frog also. We sang "Little Bunny Foo Foo" and our alphabet song. Ee Week
This week we learned the letter Ee for elephant and egg. We reviewed all our letters again and sang the alphabet song to start. Next, Logan shared an EMS truck with us, Ayla shared an elephant and Reese brought an egg. Great ideas! We commenced to the kitchen where we made our egg craft and colored our weekly picture to discuss Ee. We also have been working hard on some fall crafts and also decorated pumpkins today for our Halloween party coming up. Dd Week
This week we learned the letter Dd for dog and doughnut. We reviewed all our letters and sang the alphabet song. Grace brought a stuffed donkey, Reese brought a stuffed dolphin, Leah brought stuffed Donald Duck and a "heart duck" and Ayla brought a blow up dolphin that squeaks. We sang "5 Little Ducks" song and also sang "Days of the Week." Great job bringing such cute things to share at circle time. The kids then made daisies out of Dd and we worked on a special fall craft. Next week we will learn the letter Ee so bring those things that start with Ee!

Cc Week
This week we learned the letter Cc for clown and cake. We took the time to review our letters as always. The kids are doing great identifying them. Then we did show and tell with things that started with Cc. Logan brought a Craftsman hat, Noelle brought a compact in her cute little purse, Leah brought a cat, Reese brought a cow, Ayla brought a castle, and Cooper brought himself. Sid even brought a crayon and Brenda brought candy to outdo Sid :) saying each child could take a piece of candy home with them tonight. We sang "We Wish You A Merry Christmas" because Reese made it clear that Christmas started with Cc. And of course, we had to turn "Mr. Alligator" into "Mr. Crocodile" this week so they could do the fingerplay. Cooper held the flag today for the Pledge of Allegiance and we made our Cc craft into a chameleon. Next week we will learn the letter Dd so bring those Dd things!!!! See you then!

Bb Week
This week we learned the letter Bb for bear and ball. We looked over all our letters and also talked about blue because it starts with the letter Bb too! The kids had great ideas for things to bring. Almost all of them brought their blankets to share. Reese brought a baby with a "Boo" shirt and she also wore her basketball camp shirt. Leah brought a blanket, Gracie brought a blanket, two bunnies and a cute little book. Ayla brought a beaver, Cooper wore a "Big Brother" shirt, Logan brought a banana in a backpack and Noelle brought a blanket and a baby. Good ideas! We sang our alphabet song and we also sang, "Little Bunny Foo Foo." The kids wouldn't let me end circle time without doing our Mr. Alligator fingerplay. Brenda held our flag as we did our Pledge of Allegiance because her name starts with Bb and we commenced to the kitchen to make our Bb crafts - a cute butterfly. Next week we will learn the letter Cc so bring those things that start with the letter Cc!

Aa Week
We started another year of "circle time" this week with 7 kids!!! This is a big group of kids and the ages vary significantly but, we will try to accomodate each child so they learn at their own pace. We learned the letter Aa today for alligator and apple. Ayla, Logan and Reese all brought apples. Ayla, of course, brought herself too!! She got to hold the flag to say the Pledge of Allegiance today. Noelle brought an airplane and Reese brought two movies to watch - Aristocats and an Arielle movie. All good ideas! We sang the alphabet song and did our favorite fingerplay, "Mr. Alligator." If you don't know how that goes, ask your child!! They all LOVED it! The kids then made apples out of an Aa and did their weekly alphabet letter to be compiled into a booklet for the end of circle time. We also took time to listen to the color songs to get them introduced to them. Next week we will learn the letter Bb - so bring those things that start with Bb!

Zz Week
We finished up circle time this week with the letter Zz. We also took time to test all the kids to see what they have learned this year. For the most part, every child has progressed! We were happy to see that! Some will be going on to kindergarten next year and we wish them the absolute best! See you next year!

Yy Week
This week we reviewed all our letters as usual. We also learned the letter Yy for yellow jacket and yarn. Reese brought three Yogi Bear movies and Trevor brought a little yellow duck for show and tell for Yy. The kids also did the Pledge of Allegiance and we worked on our Yy papers coloring the pictures that start with Yy - yell, yoyo, yak and yarn. We practiced writing Yy too. We then made cute little yaks with yellow yarn for hair. Next week we will learn our last letter Zz so bring those Zz things! See you then!

Xx Week
This week is a tough letter - Xx for x-ray. No one was able to bring anything that started with Xx but we talked about different words that had Xx in them...incuding Max! The kids sang the Alphabet song and we made a cute booklet of words that have Xx in them such as six, axe and fox. We also talked about how to spell our names. The kids colored their weekly picture and we had Dyllon's birthday. Next week will be a little bit easier...Yy so bring those Yy things! See you then!

Ww Week and Easter
This week we learned the letter Ww for watermelon and walrus. We also reviewed all our other letters and did the Pledge of Allegiance. We got to share what we brought for the letter Ww...all good things! Reese wore a shirt with a whale on it and brought a wolf. Trevor brought a watch, Sam brought a walrus and Ayla brought a wooly dog. The kids made a cute little whale for Ww as a craft and we colored our pictures. The kids stayed busy with making some Easter eggs for Easter and we had our annual Easter Egg Hunt! The kids always love this!!! Finished off our party with watching "Easter Egg Mornin!" Good times! Next week we will not be having circle time since it is Spring Break but we will start up the week after with Xx so if you have anything for Xx please bring it. Vv Week
We learned the letter Vv this week for vulture and vaccuum. We also reviewed all our letters as usual and shared what we brought for circle time. Trevor brought a vase, Ayla brought a magnetic V, a vase and a cute book the kids loved - "Minnie's Valentine." Sam brought a velociraptor dinosaur and Reese brought Veggie Tales movie - "God Made You Special" that they were planning to watch later today. We made a vegetable bag with Vv words in it to take home and did our weekly pictures. The kids also said the Pledge of Allegiance as usual and we worked on a Mother's Day project. Next week we will be learning the letter Ww so bring those Ww things! We will also be having our annual Easter Egg Hunt next week to celebrate Easter. Lastly, we will be working with the kids and their addresses in the coming weeks so a head start at home would be awesome. See you next week!

Uu Week
This week we reviewed our letters as usual and learned the letter Uu for unicorn, upside down and umbrella. Reese brought an ugly doll, Ayla brought a unicorn on a scooter and Trevor brought an umbrella. All great ideas!!! We also had a special visitor to circle time...Tyler. He let some of the kids be "upside down" if they wanted. This was fun for them :)

Tt Week and Visitors
We reviewed all our letters today and we learned the letter Tt for teddy bear and tiger. Sam brought tyrannosauras rex dinosaurs, Trevor brought himself and a Tonka truck and Reese brought a turtle. Reese also brought a cool book about sea turtles called "I'll Follow The Moon" which the kids really enjoyed reading. We made green turtles as a craft and we had Max's birthday. The kids think it is awesome that Max's dad is a fireman. He, along with some other firemen, brought Max his cake and he also brought all the kids some fireman hats to take home!!! How cool was that! Happy birthday, Max! Next week we will learn the letter Uu so bring those Uu things!!! Oh....and by the way, next week (Thursday is the actual day) Brenda turns 21!!!! Well, maybe not 21, but it's her birthday so we will be celebrating on Tuesday (Circle Time Day)!!! See you then!

Rr Week
This week we learned the letter Rr for rocket and raccoon. We reviewed all our letters and then focused on Rr. Sam brought a rhinocerous, while Trevor and Ayla each brought a ring to share. Qq Week and Valentine's Party
This week was Qq week for queen and quilt. Reese brought a quilt and Trevor brought a quarterback to share at circle time. We reviewed all our letters and talked about Qq. We incorporated Valentine's Day into our circle time by reading "Clifford's First Valentine" and doing heart puzzles with the kids' names on them. We also did the Pledge and did a hide and seek with little hearts. The kids loved that game. We colored our weekly pictures and then made a queen's quilt with lots of Qq words for our craft. The kids passed out their Valentines and we had yummy heart pizza and yummy pink cupcakes at lunch time! Thank you to all who shared their love to us with Valentine's as well! Next week we will be learning the letter Rr so bring those things that start with Rr.

Pp Week
We had our annual pajama and popcorn party today for Pp week. We reviewed our letters at circle time and shared what we brought for Pp (pink paint and porcupine). Reese brought a pillow pet and wore purple pajamas, Ayla brought a princess and wore pink pajamas, Trevor brought a penguin, Sam brought puppets and Max brought popcorn. We sang our Purple song and we also did our Pledge of Allegiance. The kids enjoyed making a pumpkin puzzle while having some popcorn as a snack before having pizza for lunch! We love Pp week! Next week we will have our valentine's party and we will also have the letter Qq for queen of hearts! Here is a list of children for valentines:

Oo Week
This week was Oo week for otter and olive. We reviewed our letters and we also did a formal review. All the kids should have taken home a sheet notifying you of which letters they know by sight. They are all doing a great job! We did the Pledge of Allegiance and we shared what we brought. Reese brought an Oo ring that is a toy for Ruby :) It looks like an Oo! We also made an ox pulling a wagon that had alot of Oo things in it. Next week we will learning the letter Pp and we will have our annual pajama party with pizza and popcorn!! So, please have all the kids wear their pajamas and bring something that starts with Pp!! See you then!

Nn Week
We reviewed our letters so far and learned the letter Nn for newspaper and nut. Sam brought a net to show, Reese brought noodles, Max brought nutmeg and Trevor brought a Nite Brite Football to share at circle time. We sang our ABC song and did the Pledge of Allegiance. The kids then made their nests with lots of Nn words. Next week we will be reviewing our letters only. We will not have a new letter. Oo will be the week after next so plan to bring something for Oo then! Thanks and see you then!

Mm Week
We are back at circle time this week. Learning the letter Mm for milk and mouse. Max brought himself so he was the one who held the flag for the Pledge of Allegiance. Trevor brought a motorcycle and a monster truck and Reese brought a muffin tin and a muffin for show and tell. We also sang "Do You Know The Muffin Man" and "ABC" song. We reviewed our letters and made a mouse for a craft. Next week we will learn the letter Nn so bring those Nn things for show and tell!
