Aa Week

We learned the letter Aa this week for alligator and apple and we also learned about the color red. Max brought a red apple, Sam brought a red mask, a red bag and a dinosaur that starts with Aa. Reese brought Ariel with red hair and Trevor brought army men and an ambulance with red stripes. We went over our letters and sang an Aa song (to Jingle Bells)
Apple Annie, Apple Annie
How are you today?
Tell me all your favorite things that start with letter A
Alligators, astronaut and apple trees that sway
These are all my favorite things that start with letter A.
and we sang the "Red Song" in the last post along with a favorite "Mr. Alligator." If you asked your child to sing it, I am sure he/she will with a BIG smile! Ayla held the flag for our Pledge since her name starts with Aa. Next week we will learn the letter Bb and the color Blue so bring anything that starts with Bb or is blue! See you then!

First Week of Circle Time

Today we basically just allowed the kids to have a show and tell. Max brought a Woody and Buzz that he painted, Reese brought lipsticks and a Clifford stuffed animal, Trevor brought a dump truck phone and Sam brought dinosaurs. We sang our "Red" song for next week
R E D red
R E D red
I can spell red
Firetrucks are red
Stop signs are too
R E D red
R E D red
We also sang the Alphabet song and did the fingerplay "Five Little Pumpkins"
5 little pumpkins
Sitting on a gate
The first one said "it's getting late"
The second one said "there are witches in the air"
The third one said "Weee don't care"
The fourth one said "Halloween is fun"
The fifth one said "Let's run run run"
Then Boo! Out went the lights and 5 little pumpkins rolled out of sight.
The kids each took turns holding the flag for The Pledge of Allegiance and we colored an alphabet picture.
Next week we will officially start with the letter Aa so bring those Aa things or something that is red. See you next week!
