Ss Week

We reviewed our letters and learned the new letter Ss for snake and sailboat. The kids all brought such good ideas for Ss...Presley brought Strawberry Shortcake movie, Addy brought Squeeze, Briella brought a sheep, Spiderman movie and a very cool spinner. Caedon brought a shirt. We later talked about Konner was sick...and sick also starts with Ss. We sang our Alphabet song and sang about a star ... "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star." The kids also did the Pledge of Allegiance and made sunflower with real seeds!! Next week we will learn the letter Tt so bring those things that start with Tt.

Rr Week

We learned the letter Rr this week and words that begin with Rr such as racoon and rocket. We reviewed our letters again and shared things that begin with Rr. Presley, Addison and Briella all brought Ratatouille. Presley and Addison also brought the movie Rapunzel. Konner brought a Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer. Briella wore lots of red clothes today as well. We sang Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer and had lots of fun doing it with the little Rudolph that Konner brought. We did our Pledge of Allegiance and we also sang our Days of the Week Song. Afterwards we moved into the kitchen to make our craft - R is for Rabbits rabbit. Next week is Ss week so bring anything and everything starting with Ss!! See you next week!

Valentine's Party

A big thank you to Shannon (Briella's mom) for brownies, Amber (Presley, Addy and Reeses' mom) for the napkins and plates, and Sarah (Konner and Karson) for cookies! We made our Valentine bags and then had the kids each identify names to place them in the bags. We also sang some songs...one of which Presley taught us..."Valentine Red!" We also played a couple of games...Valentine, Valentine, Where's Your Heart and we played hide and seek with a heart as well. Next week we will be learning the letter Rr so please bring those things that start with Rr and have a great week!

Qq Week

We reviewed our letters and got to our new letter Qq. The kids shared some things they brought for circle time...Caedon brought a q-tip and Presley & Addy brought quarters. We sang "Five Little Ducks" because it says "Quack Quack Quack" in the song. We talked about things that start with the letter Qq such as queen and quilt. We also had everyone say their phone numbers and the kids are getting better and better each time! Of course, everyone has to have a turn at holding the flag for the Pledge so we end up doing it 6 times. Next week we will not have a letter and we will have our Valentine party.
