Pp Week

Pp week is one of our favorites! We let the kids come in pajamas and have a popcorn day! We started circle time with reviewing our letters and learning words that start with Pp such as porcupine and pizza. The kids brought some great things that start with Pp. Presley brought herself while both Presley, Addy and Reese wore pink princess pajamas. They also brought popsicles. Karson brought a very neat puzzle book about penguins. Caedon brought popcorn and a piana. We also did the Pledge of Allegiance. The kids are getting great at doing it! We then went into the kitchen to make a pumpkin with Pp words such as pizza, pipe, pie, pencil, pen and penguin. We also had an all Pp with Pizza, peas and pears. For dessert we even had pink cookies!!! Next week is Qq week so look hard for those Qq words. See you next week!

Oo Week

We started off by reviewing our letters from A-our new letter Oo. The kids are doing great! We learned words that start with Oo such as olive and otter. We also shared things we brought. Caedon, Presley and Addy all brought oranges to share - yummy! Karson brought a cute octopus and Konner brought an Optimus Prime. Good ideas!!! Presley and Addy also brought a cute book that we read - On the Seashore. We had fun discussing things on the beach like the book. The kids are doing GREAT at reciting their phone numbers!!! I was thoroughly impressed when Konner, Caedon, Presley and Addy all told me their phone numbers!! Good job working at home on this! Lastly, we did our Pledge of Allegiance...a favorite of the kids. They all know it too! To the kitchen we went, to make our Ox Boxes. We also put special treats in the box for the kids to take home...Oreos and Oranges! We also celebrated Briella's birthday. Happy 3rd Birthday, Briella!

Nn Week

This week we learned the letter Nn and words that begin with Nn such as nail, nickle, needle, napkin and nest. We reviewed our letters we have learned thus far and the kids are doing well. Presley and Addison brought necklaces to share for circle time while Brenda gave some noodles to Karson and a nickle to Konner to share. Caedon joined us a little late for circle time and I can say we are missing Briella as well. She started preschool...good for her! At least we know she is hard at work learning while we are. We went over our letters and talked about our phone numbers. If you haven't been working with your child on this, please do. Presley is the only one who knows her phone number and the remaining are working on them. We also did our Pledge of Allegiance - everyone wanting a turn to hold the flag and then we made nests as our craft. Next week we will be learning the letter Oo. We need some cereal boxes for our craft. If you have one we can have, please send it before next Wednesday. To finish things off we celebrated Konner's birthday with lots of cool gifts. Happy birthday, Konner! See you next week!

Mm Week

We reviewed our letters and everyone did well considering we had a two week vacation. We learned the letter Mm and words that start with Mm such as mouse and milk. Presley and Addy brought money to share and we sang "Five Little Monkeys Jumping On The Bed" and "Mary Had A Little Lamb." We also did the Pledge and I am still impressed with how well the kids do! We then made our craft...a book about a Mouse and a candy cane mouse to take home. We will be working on our phone numbers so please work with your child at home. Next week we will learn the letter Nn so bring things that start with Nn. We hope everyone had a great holiday break!
